Storing Shellfish up to 3 Days
Shellfish, like clams, oysters, mussels, requires special handling to keep their freshness and avoid pathogenic contamination. Make sure that they are rinsed with cold water, pat dried with paper towel, and stored in a refrigerated container with a controlled temperature of 4°C (40°F) or below. That special handling method is effective for a maximum of 3 days storage.

Cold Storage For
Storing Shellfish up to 6 Months
Freezing shellfish for more than 6 months is not recommended because longer storage time may deteriorate their texture, nutrient, and flavour. To enjoy their taste and get most of their nutrition, immediate consumption is the best. But, if immediate consumption is not possible, freezing them by removing the meat from the shell, putting them in ice glazing, and storing them in a refrigerated container at a temperature as low as 0°F (-18°C) or below is the special handling guideline for up to 6-months of storge.
